My Master of Fine Art Thesis Exhibition titled “Manmay Lakay,” which translates into English as “children of home,” consists of 15 mixed media prints, 12 gelliplate prints and an artist book. My embrace of different printmaking approaches in my practice formalizes various elements of my multicultural background. I am a Caribbean immigrant now based in Miami and my work brings my past experiences and ongoing relationship to the Island of St. Lucia together with my life in the United States.
